In theory, French is a syllabic language (one symbol corresponds to one sound). Unfortunately, not quite. For example, “ein” is a vowel in its own right and not the sum of “e” + “i” + “n“.
The applications below have the modest aim of helping you with French pronunciation and syllabification.



Some of these verbs are among the most frequently used or “useful” in the French language. The rest of the list can be used as models for conjugating verbs in their respective groups.
